March Newsletter – Steampunk, Hoodies and Side Bags

The Steampunk Assassin Fairy is depicted kneeling down holding a hefty multi barrel gun. She's wearing buckled, kneehigh boots, has red hair held back by goggles with mechanical wings sweeping out from her back

Welcome to our March Newsletter!

Steampunk is on the mind this month. Sadly Steamfest in Sheffield was cancelled this year (damned virus), but we all got dressed up and parambulated around in our finery anyway.  Happily it was a gorgeous day!

If you fancied adding some Steampunk love to your outfit or home, check out our Steampunk range on our website.

Now the weather is cooling down you may be looking for something a bit more snuggly to wear in the coming months.  Our Spiral Hoodies are on sale – and we have a great range of sizes.  One of the 5FDP ones recently winged its way all the way to America!

Visit our What’s New page to see what else is new on the website.

Steampunk goggles, evening bag and fob watch

Steampunk Ahoy!

One of the most frequently asked questions we get in the shop is ‘what is this Steampunk thing all about?!’  The quick answer is this: imagine the Victorian age never finished.  Imagine there was no silicon (computer) chip.  Everything is steam powered, we have airships instead of jet planes.  New and innovative ways are being invented to solve every day problems with clockwork inventions.

Now subvert it all with a bit of anarchy and punk.  Victorian prudishness be damned, we’re going to hike up our long skirts and stick some goggles on our top hats for easy reach when we jump on to our airship for a swashbuckling adventure.  While looking rather stylish and sassy of course.

Lovely warm hoodies

The nights are drawing in, very soon we’ll be falling back into winter time, it’s time to look for your statement hoodie for the next season.  If you’re looking for something a bit metal, the Five Finger Death Punch ones might be your pick.  Or perhaps a Dragony Skull one is more your style.  Check out our clothing section for the full range.

Compact and Convenient Side Bags

Sometimes when you head out, you just want a small bag for your phone, cash etc. The small size of these side bags is perfect for being light and easy to carry, while still looking fabulous.

New into the shop this month we have ways to bring in some light for these darkening days.  A gorgeous dragon candelabra will make a perfect centrepiece for your table.  Or perhaps a wall mounted tea light candle holder with an extra slot for incense would look perfect in your witchy space?

That’s it for this month!  Contact us if there’s anything you spot on Facebook or Instagram you’d like added to the website.  Or if you just want to say hi!  We love hearing from out customers and always welcome feedback.

February Newsletter – World of 3D, Figurines, Green Men

World of 3D handbags, backpacks and side bag

Welcome to our February Newsletter!

We’ve had some lovely warm days here in Tassie – perfect for getting out and about, and it’s been great to see so many people enjoying the sights of Deloraine. If you do live in Tassie (or fancy a holiday) make sure you do pop in to the shop!

We have been adding new products to the website – plenty of awesome things to buy online if you can’t come in.

Visit our What’s New page to see the full range!

World of 3D backpack, Anne Stokes Lost Souls Handbag and Raven side bag

The World of 3D

Do you want the bad news or the good news?  Let’s start with the bad news.  The spectacular World of 3D is no longer making their fabulous range of wallets, handbags, phone cases, wallets and purses.  The good news?  We nabbed a swag of stuff before they shut up shop!

Grab yours before they’re gone .. forever!

Gorgeous Figurines, available now

If Steampunk is your thing, then your home may be lacking a Steampunk Steam Bug. Super cute, this little bug is bound to trundle into your heart.

If you’re more of a metal fan, the Death Wish Grim Reaper will be right up your alley.  Give a cheeky one-fingered salute to your guests.  They won’t forget that in a hurry!

The Leafy Man

I have to admit, I do love the pagany greenman designs!  Evocative of nature and our connection to the earth, the greenman image has been used for hundreds of years and can be found carved in churches throughout the UK. It was believed to be a bridge between the pagan and Christian religions.

Whatever the origins – I just love the imagery associated with them – and we have a range of gorgeous stuff on the website!

This week we took delivery of this gorgeous little gargoyle plushy .. soooo cute!

We’ve also now got a range of Victorian- and Edwardian-inspired clothes made by a local designer Rowan Tree clothing (below is an Edwardian outfit – a red pleated skirt, brown coat and cream corset).  Worth popping into the shop to see some of the fabulous outfits she’s been busy making!

That’s it for this month!  Contact us if there’s anything you spot on Facebook or Instagram you’d like added to the website.  Or if you just want to say hi!  We love hearing from out customers and always welcome feedback.

Spectacular holographic World of 3D Backpacks

New to the website this month are some super cute backpacks with designs from alternative artist Anne Stokes.  Their small size (although suprisingly spacious) makes them perfect for every day use.

A dragon looks like it’s bursting through the front of the Peeping Dragon one; Spellweaver brings magic and light to your every day.  Both are guaranteed to make you smile as you wear them with pride.

Alchemy UK Jewellery

In store this month we’ve got some gorgeous new Alchemy Jewellery. All designed and made in the UK, these gothic pieces are bound to be talking point wherever you go.

Featured below we have two necklaces from our range.

First is the Empyrean Eye – the eye of God, shedding tears of grief for humanity as he regards the world from the highest firmament. A pewter, Nouveau style pendant centred around a large, hexagonal Aurora Boreale effect Swarovski crystal eye, with a sympathetic crystal tear dropper.

Second is the Wiccan Goddess of Love. A double-chain necklace with the main feature a pewter triple moon symbol holding three Swarovski crystals, each differently coloured to represent spiritual values, and the whole overlaid with a bronze plated bough of pewter ivy. The second, smaller piece suspended below on a longer chain is a pewter, Celtic, interlaced Triquetra symbol.

November Newsletter

Three tablet cases with Anne Stokes designs

Welcome to our November newsletter!

Exciting news for us here at Gosling GOTHware – we’ve got a new name!  We’ll be changing over all our branding over the next couple of months.  We felt that Gothware aligned more closely with how we’ve developed and are delighted to share our new brand with you.

New to the website this month is our range of face masks.  Who says you can’t be compliant and stylish in at the same time?  Well, not us obviously!  Spiral has really come through with these gorgeously gothic / punk / metal designs.

A new range of World of 3D tablet cases has also hit the website this month.

Visit our What’s New page to check all of our new stuff out!

Anne Stokes designed tablet cases - An angel, a dragon and skull and a unicorn and fair maiden

Above we have the ‘First Bite‘ face mask – it looks like your fierce vampire / monster teeth are ripping through and shredding the mask.  Muwahahaha!

For a more decorative option, the ‘Tribal Rose‘ mask could be your answer.  Red roses are entwined with grey tribal patterns.  Gorgeous!

To see the full range, visit the Face Mask section of our website.

Restyle Steampunk Cogsy Messenger Bags

Steampunk up your look with a Restyle ‘Mechanism’ messenger bag / satchel.  Coming in classic Steampunk brown, and Steamgoth black, these cogsy bags will definitely be a talking point!  They’re faux leather with the cogs and Steampunk flourishes embroided into the outside flap.

Witchy Stuff

In store this month we’ve taken delivery of a fabulous range of witchy stuff. New in (and pictured) are ‘Witches Brew’ mugs and tea sets (the teapot is sooo cute!), pentagram incense and tea light holder. Plus pentagram boxes, pentagram soap, pentagram earrings – yup, we’ve gone all out.

Now I know I probably shouldn’t mention the ‘C’ word (Christmas) in November, but if you’re looking to get ahead in your shopping, pop in and see us!
